Overnight at StoneyCreek
Appetizers outside on the porch ...
... then a walk at sunset to see the barns ...
... then winding our way back ...
... where at dusk, the land becomes still
... and the moon rises
... and civilization seems a long ways away.
We gather in the kitchen to cook ...
... not finishing at the table until after midnight! (Party animals that we are ...)
Ann and Alanna sleep outside (no bugs!)
... and watch as the sky lightens in the east ...
... and slowly the land takes shape amid the mist ...
and finally the sun rises.
We take a walk ... already itching for ticks ;-(
... stopping in the woods ...
... and ending along the creek.
